Paging Ed Potter @ LPE, "heads up" display GP?
Ed,
I was on the LPE site today looking for some parts and I came across the LPE "Heads Up" Display. I have been trying to figure out how to convert a C5 display to work in my Fbody but this appears to be a MUCH better option. For what I do with my car this is almost a neccessary evil. Taking your eyes off the road to check the speedo at 160+ mph can be a BAD thing! What would be the possibility of a GP on this unit if we could get say, 10 people on it to bring down the cost a bit? If anyone is interested please chime in. My cash is ready.

I have one other guy that I think might jump on this one as well. Here is a link to the HUD.

When I called the other day they said the install is pretty straight forward. One wire to power, one to ground and one to splice into your speedo feed wire. thats it. Then securing the unit to your dash.

Splice into the #10 pin for tach reading. Thats for the tach NOT speedo. So you will have 2 splices. 1 for speedo and 1 for tach.

Ive read before that you have to have some special coating on the windshield for it to reflect right. Thats why the vettes windshield costs soooo much <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
