Strange 12 Bolt/Dana S60 Rearends The minimum number of orders for our Strange 12 bolt/Dana S60 group purchase has been met! The GP wraps up tomorrow but, we're going to extend that pricing through the end of September. The GP got it going and this sale will keep it rolling until Friday, September 29th.
12 Bolt -
Gear ratios available are 3.42, 3.73, 3.90 and 4.10. The 3.90s will be noisy so Strange doesn't promote this one. This rearend now comes standard with the Super Strength posi. Each one is shipped ready to be installed. You will just need to swap the brakes from your current rear. Shipping is freight collect for this product so you will need to take care of that with the driver when he delivers.

gmbbp Options: You will either need to send in your brake backing plates or you can purchase a set to be built into the rear (1998+). If your car has traction control you will need to send in your backing plates along with your axles so Strange can use the reluctor rings. $229.99
gmbbpcore Options: If you can't have any vehicle downtime we can charge you $229.99 for a set of backing plates and send them to Strange to be build into your rear. After your 12 bolt is installed you'd send your stock backing plates to us and we'd credit you $175.00. This option is only available if your car does not have traction control or the ABS at the axles. The backing plates are only required for 1998+ cars.. $229.99

You will need to send your brake backing plates in just before the rear is built so they can be built into the rear. We can sell a new set to you separate. The stock driveshaft will need to be shortened by 1.625".
The following gear ratios are available - 3.54, 3.73, 4.10, 4.30, 4.56, 4.88, 5.87.
The weight difference between Dana 60 and 12 bolt is 20-25 lbs, the Dana is heavier. Dana rear is fully assembled with posi weights around 215 lbs and 12 bolt is around 189 lbs (weight with brakes). The weight difference between 12 bolt and 9" is about 12-15 lbs the 12 bolt being lighter.
Ring gear sizes:
12 bolts ring gear only 8.875 OD
9 ring gear is is 9" OD
Dana has ring gear of 9.75 OD which is alot stronger than 12 bolt & 9".
The standard Dana gear (not Pro) can withstand close to 1200 RWHP.
The True-Track is posi is standard along with Power-Lock. These are good for about 600rwhp. The Dana's posi is alot stronger than a 12 bolt and the 9". This is because the Dana Posi's are 35 spline, 12 bolt is 33 spline and the 9" is a 33 spline.

Does the DanaS60 offer a spool option ? If so what is the price , how much difference in no ABS option also.

There isn't a spool available for the S60. The rears are shipped freight collect so we won't have a shipping quote for these. The prices listed don't include shipping. The backing plate options for the 12 bolt also apply to the S60.
