Default Kee Audio standard package and big3

Well I ordered the standard package from Kee Audio a week ago but I forgot to tell him that it was for a camaro so I only received the CDT CL-61CV. I sent Ian an email telling him the model so my stuff should be on the way. I installed the CDT's today on the doors and the difference is amazing. I'm very pleased with the sound, and I can't wait to receive the rest of the speakers so I can install them I also updraded the big3 with 4 gauge wire, I should of done it a long time ago. I also found this thing in the inside of the passenger door, but I do not know wtf it is.

any one know what this thing is? found it in the passenger door.

the CDT's

old speaker, I tore the top off so you guys could see the deterioration.

No, but its really simple. I used 5ft of red 4gauge wire(4ft is more then enough), 3ft of black 4gauge, 2 side post terminals, and 6 4gauge ring terminals. I got all of that from knukonceptz, I paid about $33 and that is with shipping included.

That first picture is the window spring. Basically it helps the window motor push the window back up. I guess that it never got put back in when someone changed window motors.

Thanks, I was going to throw it away because everything works fine without it. But now I will put it back in, but not any time soon. I don't feel like taking the door apart again

You should, the factory wires are tinny and they are not design for aftermarket audio equipment. If I was to do it all over again I would get 0gauge.

Yes, I used regular pliers. And for good measure I solder them as well, just to make sure lol.

Must of took alot of heat to melt that solder. What did you do with the factory wires you disconnected? You leave them or cut them?Looks like there are two on the negative side and three on the positive side.Thanks.

Its not needed to solder them but I did it anyway The only wire I cut off was the one from the alternator to the battery, the other ones I just left them and still using them. In the picture you can see the stock(smaller) ground next to the new ground. The 3 positive ones are: new 4g from battery to alternator, stock positive battery terminal, and 6g from battery to amplifier.

So you left the factory ones connected? That's what it looks like with the negative. It's going to take the path of less resistance anyways,so it probably doesn't matter.

No problem dude. The ups guy just dropped off some boxes at my house, so I will be working on that
Do I need any spacers for the Bazooka's? I think I read somewhere that they needed spacers.

Not sure where you heard that, but no, the Bazookas don't require a spacer at all.

BTW that sub looks NICE
