Default Strong Stealth Setup

I'd like to share my stealthbox setup with everyone. Goal was to be stealthy, good sound quality with decent loudness.

Equipment:
JBL Stealth Box
10" Image Dynamics ID MAX, wired at 4ohm mono
Alpine PDX 1.1000 1000 watts at 4ohm mono
Steel plate, bolts, sheet metal screws, zip tie, foam padding.

JBL box had to be modified to fit the larger diameter ID MAX sub. Box was on the lower end of acceptable box size, so some of my lower frequencies arent as loud.

Amp was mounted behind the spare tire, where the TA auto antenna machinery goes. Spare tire remains in the car. Amp was small enough to fit in the space behind, and is efficient enough not to overheat in the space. Used a single piece of sheet metal plate to mount, bent it into an L and modified it further to bolt to the antenna mount. Used sheet metal screws to attach amp to the plate. Top of amp was secured to antenna frame using a zip tie and some foam padding to prevent rattling. See pictures attached.

I am very satisfied with the setup. The cost was about $850 for everything and the small size still puts out better sound than the 2 12s I had a few years back. Only thing I had to do was equalize the lower frequencies to have a higher output and my headunit took care of that.

My other equipment:
Pioneer DVD Headunit
Stock monsoon amp, lower frequencies filtered out
Infinity 6.5s in front, stock subs in sail, infinity 4" in rear

Good location for the Amp mount!
If you put polyfil in the Stealth box it'll help a little with the bass, and a Audio Control Epicenter will give you a lot of bass in any/all music you listen to.
Also put some sound deadening behind the Amplifier on the inside of the Quarter panel to help block heat and vibration even better.

Ive got it stuffed with polyfil, but it can only help so much. After a little tweeking, I became satisfied with the sound.

A clean and straight-forward install. Good amp placement.

That was the most expensive part of the setup I picked it up on here used, didnt care about external condition since I never see it. I am not sure a bigger amp would fit.

My headunit (pioneer DVD) has a built in High Pass filter, it is set at 125 hz and my sub is on a low pass at 125 hz.
