Default Kenwood Excelon KDC-X994 Installed!!!

Hey guys, just to update you my new Kenwood KDC-X994 HU came in yesterday and I got it all installed last night. I'll get some pics this weekend, but all I can say is WOW!!!!! This HU is incredible and the choice of options is neverending. The sound quality is incredible and I still need to fine tune my amps for this new unit. The bluetooth works really good and the look/feel of the HU is just wonderful. Thanks for all ur help guys but I definately think this one's a keeper.

BTW a few of the features I love:

Antenna only goes up with the tuner and will stay down with IPOD or CD
Bluetooth audio streaming
Bluetooth handsfree calling
5 band eq
Changeable colors for screen and buttons (separately)
Text for all medias including radio
and the list will continue - I am sure.

Actually the best module is the PAC SWI Jack as the kenwood units have a plug in the back to interface the module directly with the HU. The SWI-X will work as well (as this is what I have - didn't wanna spring for a new one) but the SWI-X uses a IR emitter to send signals to the HU and is programmed from the remote.

Default Awesome backplate!

I am getting ready to put one of these Kenwoods in my '01 Trans Am. Where did you get that backplate that surrounds the head unit? That is awesome looking!
Thanks,
Diana

Here you go: humount

(non-sponsor link removed)

Well, worth it and I've loved the plate since I got it. You can customize it anyway you want. Good luck.

I just got this HU in and can't wait to install it. Any tips on the install or the set-up? Especially with the PAC steering wheel controller.
