What Double Din do you own?
Simple question what Double Din unit did you purchase and why?
Im thinking about making this my summer project, I really want to get a new CD player but I want something that is VERY VERY clean and modern looking to freshen up my interior a bit more.
I would like to have a unit that can get XM. Something with bluetooth for my BlackBerry 8330 would be nice (does carrier matter here?) Touch screen isnt a big deal.
Im just trying to stay under say 800 or so for one.
Whats out there what does everyone use?
definatly..

I wrote a comparison review a while back of the two double DIN head units I have owned. It's a little out of date but it might give you some ideas of what to look for in a newer unit.

I have an avic f90bt.
works well enough for me.
But i haven't been able to hook it up to my ipod. getting decent upgrades cost money, the screen isn't as sensitive as my iphone, flipping through settings is not intuitive.
Otherwise it does its job and everyone likes its look

Have you guys had any trouble fitting those Double Dins, or does there seem to be enough room to fit any double din deck?
I am looking at the JVC KW-NT3HDT which has a Front Panel Size of 7 7/16” x 4 5/8” x 7/16” and Installation Size 7 3/16” x 4 5/8” x 6 3/8”.
Even with the cutout bezel I am worried the thing wont fit.

I got the avic-f700bt, cause it was the best deal i could find with nav and bluetooth and because there alot of mods that can be done to it. It fits into the hole, but its tight, you also have to modify your bezel, picked it up for 5 bills online, it's XM ready, but I dont use it

I purchased my AVIC-D3 because I was tired of my AVIC-N2 blocking my a/c vents during the summer. I love Pioneer products and when 6litereater started selling double din bezels I decided to take the plung. Initially I was looking for something along the lines of an AVIC-Z series double din but came across a sweet deal on a AVIC-D3 ($500ish if I'm not mistaking) with a few add-ons. Here's an exact pic of my setup with 6litereater's double din bezel...

I had pioneer avh 3100. I liked the USB access at the front of the deck because I used it to charge my phone. Decent unit, sounded great. But no nav. I would have to remove my phone in order to play the iPod. I didn't like wires everywhere.
But then I got a killer deal on the d3 (about 275 bucks) and it's what is in my car now. Plus, I was able to hide my iPod. It's much more customizable than my old deck.
