Can I use two brands of sound deadener?
I am in the process of installing Hushmatt in my Bird. Ian sent me 39sq ft. I ended up going kinda nuts with it and I am using way more than I thought i would. I used a bunch in the trunk area and quarter panels. Pretty much the driver side of the car is done minus the door. I am going to need another two boxes.
I talked to Dennis at Double D Mods when I ordered my bezel and told me about Raammatt. Hushmatt is 160 or so for 39sq ft and the Raammatt is 90. I can't really afford to drop 320 on just sound deadener.
If I do the rest of the car in Rammatt will there be any noticeable difference?
I don't have anything to compare it to but the Hushmatt is super easy to work with. No fumes, easy to cut and work with.
Thanks.

I've seen comments on other forums where people say they think Raamat and Dynomat come off same conveyor, just a different logo printed on the foil. I've never held them side by side, though. It's insulation, get what you can afford. Any is better than none.

I finally got the Rammatt a few days and I started putting it in tonight.
I definately like Hushmatt better. The Hushmatt seems to be a little thicker and is much easier to work with and easier to cut.
On the Rammatt the actual materiel is thinner and is very stringy.
Obviously I have no input on the actual performance of the two. Unless each side of the car sound different I am sure I won't know
I wish I had been able to buy Hushmatt again but that didn't work out. However the Raamatt cost 1/2 what the Hushmatt does.
