Default Subwoofer placement

I have been considering the subthump box that allows me to keep the T-tops ($300+!) or a box that lays across the tank(>$100) and want some opinions on which placement would be better for clearer, louder bass. I have 2 12" Powerbass S12D's

Thanks!

I would just go with a box that covers the t tops. It would look alot slicker. I bought mine for around 80$ and I usually just put the t tops in the back seat.

+1, the sub thump is a nice box but not really a necessary expense unless you happen to use the back seats a lot.

Sorry, nowhere near Houston. Over here in Asheville, NC.

I considered just getting a box that eliminated the T-top storage, I have taken the tops off once right when I bought the car just to see how it felt. Even though I doubt I will take the tops off much, I do like having the option.

I think I will just say f*ck it and get the T-top eliminating box and save the $200+

Thanks for the input!

I had a sealed box with 2-12's over the rear hump. The amps were mounted to the box and everything was wrapped to match the inside and to conceal all the wires. IMO it was overkill at 145 db's. I should have pics in my album still. No rattless what so ever
