Radio shuts off turns back on all the time??
OK quick back round have a aftermarket radio, driving down the road it just shuts off, then turns back on and the windows stop working as well. So i started at the fuse box when its off and nothing, then i figured a loose ground well checked all under the hood (2 on the radiator cross member, and one on each fender well, block ground by the Alternator) i took all the off cleaned them with a wire wheel and sprayed w/ protector. i couldn't seem to find any grounds under the dash. if there is 1 or some and someone knows please let me know. well after all this still happens. switched back to OEM radio does the same thing.
i'm at a loss and wondering if this has happened to anyone else i feel it is a ground issue due to the fact a bump sets it off or hard acceleration or just the car running at a light. any help or ideas would be awsome.
if you have any other questions just ask.
thank you

I had the same problem , it took me awhile to figure it out . I checked everything ground, replaced the head unit . Looked on here turns out it was the bcm causing it . It takes all of 30 mins to fix.

Mine does the same thing but haven't fixed it yet. I found out to make it turn back on you need to HOLD the window button UP on and while u do that lock and unlock the doors like 2 times and itl turn back on, its weird but it works

I took out the BCM last weekend and all my solder joints looked good except one, which was brown and cracked. Fixed that one and all is well. I found that I could make the radio cut off just by shaking the BCM before. Took me a while to commit to that fix as I have had two aftermarket Alarms with remote start installed and the wiring was a bit of a mess. Had to fix some shitty wiring practices the installer used first to insure that wasn't the issue.

my stereo shuts off and on as well too. but my windows work fine.
also my lights dim and get brighter and a quick pace. i was thinking alternators getting weak since it takes like 2 mins to kill my batter with the stereo on
my hvac lights also stay off until after the car heats up, then i can flick the hvac panel and it will shut the lights off and sometimes even kick them right back on...
