take the whole panel off, mine were glued from the back on some of the tabs, and the rest just pop out
to remove the panel take out 2 screws where the T-Top gets put in, remove the rear most piece of plastic, which holds the 4 in speaker. remove the screw at the bottom, and take out the little coat hanger thing, then it should slide right off. there is velcro so it may not come off so easily when you have that stuff off

You don't have to take the whole panel off, just take a butter knife and pry up under the grill and pop it out, it worked for me, then there are the speaker bolts, take those off, and take the speaker out, put the new on in, pop the grill back on, your done.

Butter knife? Do you use pliers to work on your car as well?
Use a large blade flat screw driver, and carefully push each tab back while applying a little pressure outward on the grill.
Butter knife, LOL

Of course. Pliers come in handy in any job that is stubborn or you cant get your fingers in there. How else do you pull off metal clips?

I just had to take my driver's side sail panel grill off to replace the stock Monsoon speaker. I used D Rock's butter knife advice and it came off easily. It wasn't glued either.

Funny thing guys!! I went to the junk yard the other day for some misc parts and came across several F-bodies. They were pretty much stripped but I was checking the sail panels anyway. I found that out of 6 cars...Camaro and Firebird...2 had glue on the sailpanel grills. I guess it was like anything else with GM....whoever was on the assembly line that day depended on whether you got glue or not. LOL!!
