Its hard to find good audio equipment for under a 1000 bucks, im thinking about getting a sub or 2 and an amp and replace 2 speakers, maybe the rear. I know everyone says that you shouldnt replace the rear but i prefer to play my music out of the rear speakers and rarely use the front.
Maybe these subs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
but damn if im not confused as hell as to what is good and what blows in less than 6 months!!!
No use of the words "GD."

Dude that helps out a lot, but my next question is, why can i not replace the rear speakers rather than the front, i know everyone says to replace the front but i usually have most of the sound coming from the rear, i dont know why i just prefer it that way? I know everyone has their opinion on the front but would it sound just as good replacing the rear? what is the size of the front speakers anyways? i know the rears are 6 1/2 to 6 3/4

All right, after extensive reseach i think ive established what the heck im going to do with my audio equipment. Im not looking to thump as i go along i just want a crisp clean sound with some good solid bass, so here is a run down
Head unit
Speakers:
from bestbuy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....6&type=product
Sub:
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Alpin...oductDetail.do
with a stealthbox from subthump.com
I still havent picked out a good amp for the sub, im looking to get a good amp under 200 bucks, any ideas please HELP. For right now im just going to use the stock amp for the front speakers but i will eventually replace that amp as well.
God dang im exhausted after all this searching!!! Now all i have to do is some extensive research on good wiring so i will have everything i need to do the install.

I have the pioneer speakers and the older head unit- Its the way to go. Pioneer makes good headunits- But Its usually good to spend the little bit of extra money and buy the nicer units - either way. I love the speakers, Ive got them amped at 150 watts a peice and they are clear and can be loud. For the money you cant beat them.
P.S Sony head units Suck. They are sometimes pretty and seem decent at a glance but their clarity and tuning isnt good at all. Very "My 1st sony" days =)

I think ive found my audio, yeah i agree, after all the research ive done, those audio blow. Im going with a kicker 4 channel amp, pioneer 4 way speakers 240 watt, and eithor a rockford fosgate sub or a JL, Im looking at getting a 12" in a stealthbox from subthump. What is the best JL 12"? I already have my pioneer deh-p6600 installed and it kicks ***. it really brings out the bass in the stock monsoon system, i cant wait to get the rest of it.

If you want a pretty cheap, good amp, get a bazooka. Some people may laugh at me for it but it works good. I have 4 12s (2 infin. perfects and 2 bazookas) running off a 2 channel 750W Bazooka amp. It's incredible. Best part about it was i picked up the 2 bazooka subs for $30 + 15 shipping and the amp for 50 +20 shipping. Both used on eBay. I bought from returnBuy. I've had em for about 2 years and still going strong.

Heres a pic. Not the prettiest setup for sure but it hits. Got the cap for free from a friend. 2 perfect facing up, 2 bazookas facing down with like a 4 inch air gap at the bottom. Didnt have carpet for the box but since no one really sees it, i dont really care. I can maybe get more pics when i get time.
