Default viper 791xv install question

Hi folks
I have the viper 791xv alarm and want to install in it my car but I would like to retain the factory alarm capabilities plus the new capabilities. Does anybody know of a link to install this alarm in a Caramo or can tell me how to install it retaining the factory alarm capabilities? as an example the factory cuts off the fuel if the alarm is set off. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Bill

Well I don't no about the factory fuel pump but On a M6 the green wire on the clutch swith with a relay can be a nice starter kill! I have 3 antistart wires in my car plus a 2 stage power level 400hp or 632hp+nos use! So no one joy rides!

Why wouldnt you just wire up the viper to cut the fuel?

Hi 2much,
I can but it would have been nice to just wire into the factory alarm and get the benefits from it without adding a lot of relays.
Thanks

You may have problems with the Viper seting of the stock alarm! But it sounds like you may know what you are doing!

I use to install alarms. All I ever used relays for is when one power did not supply enough amps or the polarity needed to be reversed. After you disable the factory 'alarm'. All the relays you really need should be built into the alarm. Am I not correct?

Relays an cut power too! On a alarm there is two thick wires green and black these are the starter kill wires. Inside the alarm there is a relay for this! A alarm (without remote start) has only one relay I think! all the out puts are like 18ga way to small!

Here is what directechs.com says:
CHEVROLET, CAMARO, 2002, Factory Alarm Disarm

Some models are equipped with a factory alarm. The only way to disarm these alarms is with the factory remote or turning on the ignition. To turn off the factory alarm, see direct fax document #1051.

Very useful site, but you have to be a dealer to access it.

The procedure for turning off the factory alarm is in your owners manual.

I have a directechs password! But I have to tell you it is better to disarm the factory alarm and use the viper only or you may find your shelf towing the car home one day!

This is what we were saying all along. I use to install alarms professionally. We would NEVER even consider hooking up two alarms into a car, factory or not.
