Default Headlights opened now they will not close..

Does anyone know what might have happened??? I went to go wash the car and on the way home turned on the headlights, when I got home parked it in the garage and the lights never went down... Any help greatly appreciated..

The strange thing about it is that both lights are in the up position. I find it hard to believe that both of my motors went out...

You may need to have the bracket assembly lubricated. Try spraying some WD-40 in there.

I'll try that just seems like water might have had something to do with the problem...

any fuses connected to that Motor assembly? Its much more likley that a relay went out or a fuse in the circuit than both units dying at the exact same time.

Yea, I went and checked the lights just now and could here a clicking noise coming from a black box looking thing. It had two connections I assume they're for the left and right headlights. I disconnected them and found water inside the connections and box. I tried to shake as much water as I could, but it seems that I might have to let it dry before putting it back on. Anyone know how much this box (relay) costs just in case I have to buy one? One other thing I checked the fuses and they still look good...

Its a pretty big relay its almost as big as my palm. Are you sure its only 8 bucks haha...

No, it's not $8. You're looking at the headlamp door control module not just a simple relay. It's P/N 16525685 and it retails for $230 at the dealer.

Thanks for the help guys it was the headlamp control module. I bought a used one at a salvage yard for $60 and all is well now..
