Default ****PICS INSIDE- Custom Lighted Dash Kit (Humount) with Alpine Deck****

Here are a few pics of my custom dash kit and my new Alpine Deck. The dash kit is a Humount and has a blue LED backlight. I wasn't too sure about the Blue backlight, but after looking at it, it flows well with the red/blue lighted CD player. I am happy with the way it came out. I had a stock Monsoon head unit before this new Alpine unit, and the sound difference is amazing. The Alpine deck made my Monsoon seem like a sack of crap. I can turn it up pretty loud with no distortion, whereas I couldn't before. It sounds ten times better. If anyone wants information on where to get one, just PM me and i will get you turned in the right direction

That is VERY cool!

Do you have a link to the kit? Anything like this for Camaros?

I have one of these and mine lights up in Red. Do you remember how you hooked it up to what leads? I don't have instructions but I think there's two wires? I need to install it soon. Thanks

The power wire (probably red) goes to 12V power and the ground wire (probably black) goes to ground. The brown wire in the black connector behind the radio is power from the dash lights that you can tap into.

Looks really nice.

I just ordered my HU Mount today, but went with the polished finish and the red light to match the stock dash colors. My deck will change to red too.

Have you changed all your interior lighting to blue?

I didn't bother with buying an adaptor for my stering wheel controls, mainly beacuse I never used them in the first place. I know they make some kind of adaptors for them, but don't know where to get them.

I just finished up my HU Mount (awesome product!!) last night and installed my SWI-X so I could keep my steering wheel controls. I didn't go with the lighted kit but I did put white vinyl behind the T/A cutout so it matches the car's exterior color (looks pretty cool IMO ). I'll post up pics later today of the finished product.
