Default What to expect with two 12s in the maro?

My husband just got a hold of two 12s for the camaro and I'm wondering if it would drive me insane? We have true duals and I just want to know how much louder it would be. (Love the true duals by the way) Thanks for any input.

Well i have one 10" sub & it shakes & vibrates everything pretty good... I can only imagine what two 12's powered by a decent amp would do.

That's what I thought. LOL I told him I really didn't want it in there. It fits so perfect in the trunk but with two 12s I thought they would be better off in our Trailblazer and putting the one 12 in the camaro. We shall see what can be done. Thanks.

put the amp that is powering the subs on a switch. a simple toggle switch from home depot works good. mines in the ashtray and out of sight 2.(the wire from the head unit to the amp the tells it when to turn on not the actual power wire) thats what i do and love it. bass when needed and can listen to my exhaust when i want to. my car doesnt rattle to bad at all and mines a 94. it just depends on ur car for the rattling issue.

My (1) Pioneer 700w 4ohm DVC 10" in a sealed box is almost stupid loud on my Zapco 350i amp.

So I'd imagine (2) 12's would be pretty intense is done right.

2 12"s isn't enough information. I could give you 2 12" speakers that will hardly do anything at all even though they're not broken. There's much difference between a Pyramid 12" and a RE XXX 12"

Well, MTX subwoofers are pretty meh, but they'll be pretty loud if set up anywhere near correctly.

Quality... not so much.

I don't care for quality in the electronics area of the camaro. He got them for free the whole set-up. As for being set up properly they will if we should install. If not I would rather he sell them and put that $$ towards something else. I don't mind just listening to the exhaust.

And you're from Texas? I believe it. I'd go crazy without audio.

LOL We do have the stock radio which is just fine for me. I mean I would just think that having the exhaust plus the speakers would be ridiculous. Them trying to drown each other out. Might get annoying. To listen to it on low volume and not so "loud" might be pointless. Not that I would be "jamming" all loud. None the less I hope he decids to sell...the money can go to a cam. Maybe that would motivate him.

i had two 12's in my camaro for a while. it was LOUD. its nice being able to adjust it, and as long as they are nice subs, the bass will be clear and it doesnt have to be really loud.

I had two 12" Audiobahn subs in my old Trans Am. In my little science experiment on which was louder, my exhaust set up won. Granted this was stereo turned all the way up with some heavy techno vs LTs+ORY+SLP LMII at 6K rpms.

Just because you have two 12's, regardless of quality, doesn't mean it will always be loud. You CAN listen to it at low volumes you know, although I usually have a problem with that. It's just that it will have a lot more potential for top end.

That's one too many for a camaro.
All you really need is one JLaudio 10" in a stealth.

What kind of MTX? I used to have a 12" 7500 powered by a kicker 400.2 in my old car and it was pretty loud
