Default A little upgrade....

So I was waiting for my new '08 RE SE 10" to come in the mail and I was using an old 10" MTX 6000 sub. Today, my RE came. Nice difference huh? Can't wait to get it installed with my '08 rockford fosgate 600.2 amp. Only paid $155 shipped for the woofer.

no it was running off the rockford 500.2 amp, made it top out really easily but still sounded decent. the RE sounds crazy even being in a little stealth box.

Here are mine compared to the W3V2's I took out a couple years ago. Night and day difference. I am getting ready to put in CDT HD SQ-10's though to see what those are like. My SE's are the older models, I like the RE on them now!:

Kee, how do you like those RE's? I have a ED 12, and was thinking about swapping it with an RE SE, and adding another in a pass. side stealthbox.

I have a Fi Q12. Fi is run by the guy who used to run RE. It's a great sub. Both brands are in a whole new league over HD, but that goes for price as well.

I love the RE SE10. It is a nice balance between SPL and SQ IMO. Snootch, you would like the RE SE or even the SX. With 2 in there it would be more than sufficient for most.
With my car I kinda have to able to do a bit of both leaning more toward SQ. People always like the power of big bass to show off but when it comes to overall SQ and balance of sound I have to be able to show people that as well. I never know what my customer is looking for right away so I like to have a system that can do a bit of both well.
The Fi, RE, Audio Pulse (TC Sounds), ID, Digital Designs, I would even have to put Eclipse in there as well, and a handfull of others (I am leaving some out I know) are just really nice subs for the money. I haven't heard the CDT HD series subs yet so I will not comment on them until I get my other in but the ES series are great as well...just a bit expensive in comparison to some of the others I mentioned but a great sub non the less. I would say for the money the first 3 I mentioned are my favorites as of now.

Speaking of TC Sounds and Audio Pulse....look at this I just saw. THIS IS NOT MY LISTING (so you know)!! I just did a search and saw this. Lightening Audio????? With that motor structure????? LOL!!! It is very similar to the Axis sub with a different cone and surround. Wow!! Check it out:

heh, I didn't know L/A ever used TC Sounds. Eclipse used to, by the way, but they haven't for a couple of years now. Their SW8200 (which I still have one of, but not going in my car) is probably the most famous Eclipse/TC driver, using LMS technology. The loss of Eclipse hurt TC Sounds a lot and they ended up reforming as Audiopulse.
