Talking KEEAUDIO I Summon Thee...

To help me get a bada** system! I have just recently picked up an 00' SS, with ALL STOCK stereo equipment, and well.....IT BLOWS!! lol KEEAUDIO if you could, I would like you to help me pick out some of your products you have for a complete system.. Budget is around $1300. Heres what I would like.. I will be using an Alpine CDA-9886 headunit and would like to get components up front, with midbass drivers in the sails, and get rid of the hatch speakers, and maybe put (1) sub back there with a custom enclosure. I have been looking around on your site to see what I'd like, and to tell you the truth, I really have no idea what I'm looking at lol, just a bunch of numbers to me ha. I don't really need window shattering bass, but I would like to hear it pound at times. I want the sound at high volume to be full, rich, and be very clear. For the amplifier, I have no idea which one would be best for me. But one powerful enough to power the sub and speakers at more than sufficient levels. I would also need all the installation products as well for the install, which will be by a reputable shop around me, Jacksonville NC, don't really know where one is yet, but I'll be looking.. Thanks so much for helping me with this, and any suggestions you may have as to whether I should keep the hatch speakers etc or anything, please share!! THANKS!!

Is that $1300 budget for parts AND install, or is that just for parts? Also, is the $1300 in addition to the Alpine HU you have? That will greatly impact Ian's recommendations.

$1300 includes the head unit ($230) and partly install most likely. So about $1070 to work with. Sorry for the confusion here. KEEAUDIO, I think I will skip getting the sub at first, as I would like to see how much I like it with just the midbass drivers, but I assume it is still recommended/beneficial to get an amp to power the speakers themselves, correct?

I have been looking at the CL-61 6.5" components (coupe version) and the HD M6 midbass drivers. Is this a good match up? Would the amp you sell, Cadence FXA-5100, be able to handle these speakers and power them nicely?

Hi guys!! I can definetly put a VERY good system together for that!
Here's my recommendation (I think I've recommended this system before but I have some changes as I have another amp that I think is worth mentioning in addition to the FXA-5100!):
1.) Alpine CDA-9886 $219.00
2.) CDT CL-E61CV for the doors $189.00 (these are the cast frame higher power version of the CL-61CV)
3.) CDT HD M-6 $249.00 (package discount)
4.) Cadence FXA-5100 5-channel $289.00 (package discount)
OR
4.) Phoenix Gold Octane-R 5-channel $289.00 (package discount)
5.) Kee Audio Stealth Enclosure $109.00
6.) CDT EF-100 Versabox subwoofer $90.00
7.) Metra radio adapter mount, Ai antenna adapter, Metra harness adapter,dB Link 4awg amplifier kit with 2 extra double sheilded twisted RCA's, dB Link gold battery adapter for power wire, 50ft. of 12awg speaker wire: All of the installation equipment: $52.00
Entire sound quality system with everything needed (minus a case of your favorite liquid refreshment) for installation: $1197.00 Just add about $60.00 for shipping as this is ALOT of stuff!! So just under the $1300.00 shipped budget for a high quality bang for the buck audio system.
I think that pretty well covers it! Let me know if this works for you.

Looks good, couple questions though. I see you upgraded the component speakers to CL-E61CV types, what does the convertable part mean? Do you price match on the items I have found on other sites to be cheaper? Those items being the HD M6 speakers, and both amps. I think I would go with the Phoenix Gold amp though. Also, do you carry the Alpine CDA 9886 headunit, or were you just throwing the price in their for budget concerns. Everything looks good though, as soon as I get my tax returns back in about 2 weeks, I'm sure you'll be hearing from me with payment Oh and one more question, is it possible for you to ship to a PO Box?? I will explain my address later, as I live on a military base, it is VERY HARD to get mail etc. Thanks!!!

After a bit of searching on google I have found the amps as high as $333.95 and as low as $229.00 so I can match $229.00.
You'll need to show me the cheaper price on the M-6's. I had a special on them Dec. and January for $199.00 but that ended when CDT raised the price back up Feb 1. CDT Audio has them listed at $349.00. All the other CDT dealers have them listed at $249.00. MAP on the M-6 is supposed to be $299.00 but nobody sells them for that so I match the $249.00 that everyone else does. I can order the Alpine in through my distributor but I don't carry Alpine on a regular basis. I asked if he could get it and he said yes.
The enclosures are running about 7days for fabrication right now just so you know.
I will ship to a P.O. Box.
