will these really just plug and play like it says? It says no mods needed for tail stop reverse turn etc. Is that true? i thought that i would need an electronic flasher or something like that. If these wont work then what will? I have a 96 ws6 i want to do full led conversions all lights on the car starting with all the tail lamps. If anyone has a good link id appreciate it or just straight up help; i searched and searched but couldnt find much. Is this the right forum? Please let me know.

You will need the electronic flasher for the LEDs.

You can get a Tridon EL-12 (electronic flasher) from AutoZone (and other auto parts stores) for $8.

Hello. I never posted or done replies and I am getting desperate so here I am. I've tried searching for answer on this forum but the ones I found was about those custom homemade LED's.

Now my Cruise Control wont work. Took it to a Chevy Dealership and they said it's those LED's drawing current. I wrote the seller and they told me there were problems with those on some cars. So the seller wrote to the manufacturer or distributers and told them about this. I have 2001 Camaro and they have not tested them, so I have to go to Chino, CA which is about 80-90 miles. That is too far. I have to bring my car over there so they can figure out what resistors I needed.
My question is, would you know what kind of resistors I need, where to get them and how to install them? Any suggestions and comments is greatly appreciated!

Try the flasher before putting load resistors.

Just wondering why you need the flasher? would you need them for all the LED's? Like the reverse tail lights? Or is the flasher just for the turn signals?

You will need them for sure when you are doing LEDs in the turn signals. LEDs use less current so the thermal flasher thinks the bulbs are out and won't blink. The electronic flasher has the correct current rating for LEDs. Plus it can be used with regular bulbs. The reverse lights should be no problem. I have read that some GM cars have a problem with the cruise control when replacing the third brake light with LEDs. Not sure if this is true for f bodies.
