Default Death by EVO, Challenger and NSX go down

All runs were in Mexico.

I was driving along the highway with a passenger when a really loud EVO pulls up along side of us. He doesn't have any passengers. We slow down to 55 and I honk it off. As I'm honking, I hear him brake boosting. We go and it turns out his car is much faster than I thought it would be! He pulls me by about 1.5 cars up to 120ish. This is the first solid loss I've had since getting H/C on the car over a year ago. In a way, it's nice to have motivation to mod more. Props to him for having such a quick car.

Earlier today, I was driving around town and spot a new blue Challenger driving by the parking lot I'm in, so I quickly turn out and follow him down a rather main road with traffic on it. Neither of us can really punch it, but I give him a rev with the cutout open right next to him to let him know I was game. I see that he's taking a right, so I follow him on the ramp, and as soon as we're going straight, we punch it - he's 5 cars or so ahead of me. I'm in the right lane, he's in the left. After a pull of a few seconds, he gets the idea that he won't be geting away and lets out. At that point, I was right on his back bumper. I got out to give him my card and noticed the hemi badges, etc. I assume the car was an R/T and not an SRT.

Also today, I was pulling out of a strip mall and I see a clean black NSX in line at the light. There are two turn lanes, so I pull up next to him and give him a thumbs up. He gives me a bit of a curious look and a thumbs up too. I think the fact that my car was ultra loud and camming weirded him out. Anyway, we made our left turn, got around a little traffic, and we punched it around 50mph. NSX's must not make much torque, because he dropped back pretty quickly and gave up quickly too (after pulling a car on him). We stopped at the next light and he says, "Wow, what you got in that thing?" So we talked and he was a really cool guy. Even though the design is old, those cars still look amazing.

My car is a H/C/I, stalled/geared 99 Z28.

Umm..no they're not. Its 290HP. Meaning much less than that at the wheels. An LS1 will murder an NSX on the top end.

They both are capable of running low 13s @ ~108mph, and a 3.2l NSX will do 170mph. Sounds pretty damn even to me.

Car and driver got the 3.2 NSX to run a high 12 actually, so it probably has deeper 12's in it.

I believe they also trapped above 108.

The 3.0 NSXs are kind of weak, usually mid to high 13's...

Nice kills OP.

Back in the mid 90's I got abused by an NSX when I had my old '66 Barracuda. My teenage ego had a lesson that day. They still look great to me though 15 years later. Timeless design.

And I've never seen on at the track or on the street that could match those mag numbers.

So? That has no bearing on what they can or can't do.

To be honest in this instance, the nsx is WEAK on TQ. I think they really squeezed those numbers, I am not hating on honda I had 4 of them, would love to have an nsx.
