congrats you beat a bike, however keep in mind he probably was a bad driver so don't think you could beat all 600's. The problem with most bikes is the driver mod, it really comes into play. I saw a busa run 12's at my local track, not sure if I was seeing it right my friend and I both made sure it was a busa and the announcer said it was one. I still can't beleive I saw a busa run 12's, oh it wasn't even a 12.00 it was a 12.7X@12X. Guy babied the **** out of the launch, I bet 2.3 60' and shifted slower than most newb honda drivers.

My 07 zx6r(same exact bike) ran 10.6 with just a front sproket change and aftermarket exhaust/cat delete. Stock everything else down to the filter. Sounds like it ended up a drivers race .
It is so rider dependant though its not even funny, much more so then cars. The driver can easily make a full second or more difference in the 1/4. The power range for a 600 is narrow, between 10,000 and ~15,000 rpms, and they go by very fast .

This is definitely believable. I have been up against a lot of guys on bikes who really can't ride that well. They sound like they are hauling ***, but aren't. Obviously I think he beat the rider, not the bike; but there aren't too many bikes out there that are actually ridden by someone who can really wring them out! If you get a 600 out of that tiny little powerband of theirs, they really don't move so well...
But...isn't beating the rider/driver really more what racing is about? Otherwise we could all just bench race and call it a day without ever turning a tire.
So to the OP, congrats and enjoy the hell out of your victory. A race is a race you won, just don't let it go to your head that you are now Bike Slayer!
