Dodge 5.7 vs Chevy 5.7 So this friend of mine recently bought an 07 Charger R/T, and has been wanting to race me.
We went from a 30 roll, I honked the 3, and as soon as I hit the 3rd honk,we both punched it and I jumped like a car or 2 instantly, and from there I only held it til maybe 80-90, I'm not sure how far I was ahead, but, it was a definite display of LS1 superiority.
On a side note, I have driven the hell out of that Charger, and for a big *** boat, it's got some power under the hood, it's just a different experience driving it then an f-body.
So to sum up, I killed an 07 charger R/T in my basically stock 01 z by quite a bit.
It was fun though.

Ha yeah some guy brought one to the track last time I went. I didn't see the time in the 1/8th but he made one pass (embarrassed I guess) and got beat by a bolt on 2v mustang LOL I actually saw him pick up his ticket and drive away. Poor guy was talking it up and said it would probably beat mine because it had 375hp and I only had 310 or whatever.....
Good kill though....most of those new R/T dodge guys really don't realize what they bought. They feel fast and sound good I guess.

Yeah, the new charger r/t is rated at 340hp and 390lb ft-tq, where as my 01 z is rated at 310hp and 340lb-ft tq, which anyone who knows anything about ls1's would know is BS, but oh well.

Nice kill, i once had a guy tell me, i need to break my engine in after i beat him farely easy and told him i had longtubes. I guess those cars would be fast for there size. Not saying they cant be, just seems like alot of R/T owners think there really fast in stock form.

There is a guy here who was trying to bet 100$ that the R/T could take me, and he is supposed to be getting an SRT8 charger, which he thinks is gonna walk me i'm sure, so I can't wait to get my hands on that one as well.

yeah ive got 2 co-workers with r/t's. neither has been dumb enough to say they can beat me but both said they would hang. Me and Curtis raced afterwork one day...........
.........even I thought it would do better, it was that bad. granted we raced from a dig and he forgot to kill the TCS but still. i was like 5 cars out within the 1/8th. from a dig there easy, from a roll they do just a smidge better, but they all think there fastest on public roadways.

nice kill. i raced a charger srt8 superbee .... needless to say they have a dead spot at a 40mph roll. i knew that...he did not
i beat him by about a car. and i only have full exhaust/cai m6 lt1. lol.

Haha... I raced a 2003 Porsche Carrera about a week or 2 ago and had some lil Charger R/T tryin his best to keep up with us! Its funny cause when the Prosche and I were tryin to line up he was tryin his best to bob and weave until he made it 3 way race which only lasted for about 1 second before he was just a lil dot in our mirrors. When the Porcshe and I got to the next light he looks over to me and said "I think some guy in a R/T was try to hang with us" I laughed and said that hes to fat to hang! He laughed and the light turned green in which I proceded to put a car or 2 on him by about 90's...

Those rt's are nice and everything but their just a car to make family life less boring... not racing.. srt's are pretty clean cars tho. I would LOVE a srt 300...

I think you should do it with and without the spray. The guy who is supposed to be getting it, thinks it's just the hottest **** in the world. He needs to re-evaluate his opinion, and you should make him do it. I wanna watch though dammit lol.

when i beat a brand new challenger r/t i actually felt sorry for the guy. We met up after the race after beating him horrible. we were just chilling an talking these mexicans pull up ask me if my cars a six cylinder, then go straight to the hemi that just got beat by at least 5cars, and think it's god lol. They are really badass cars though
