raced a 370z... boring background:
well i decided to go up to my buddys work (Nissan dealer), to ask his friend about his duals, since i had a little issue after putting them on yesterday. well, took the car up to the dealer open headers since it was not even 2 miles down the road. figured the o2's would be fine, no harm done. we get up there and start talking for about an hour or two then my buddys friend walks away and brings back a 370z so i asked him if he wanted to do a quick few runs. he said yeah and we headed out.

we were at about 40mph, i tried to honk but couldnt hear **** over my open headers
so he counted it off, we hit it both rpetty good, but he said he was in the wrong gear, since he usually drives an auto and doesnt watch the tach & coulnt hear his engine over my car, so he quickly downshifted (with that synchro rev match) but by ~80-90 i was an easy 3-4 cars out.

right as we turn around, an srt4 drove by (2 lane road, couldnt get him in too) but we jumped back out and i stayed in first with him about a car in front. i was trying to creep up without him him thinking i was going for hit but with open headers, you cant tell **** so he jumped (in the right gear). i nailed it after i saw him jump and we went to about 100 (space limited) and i was about 2, maybe a little more out.
that little datsun suprised me, its pretty damn quick. without the exhaust on, it felt like a torqueless bitch, so with it back on i bet i could have had an additional car, and maybe one more if we went to a higher speed. and i will defintely never drive that car open headers again, its just too annoying. i got home and checked it though, collectors were warm but nothing bad, so the o2s were probably fine. like i said, its not even 2 miles to my house.

seriously, it might be the most annoying thing to drive around, period. ill get off my butt here in a little while and get working on that exhaust. neighbors arent too fond of it either...
anybody know the gears & weight on one of those 370z's? it wasnt on the door sticker.

Good kill. The 370's are gaining 55whp with 3 bolt ons so with gears they are going to be up there with the bolt on ls1's soon. Becareful out there running the 370's.
Also don't read magazine weights of the 370z. Its actually closer to 3350-3400. Right before production Nissan had to implement more safety devices to meet with regulations so the weight was increased.
