Default cam t/a vs 100 shot vette

well this happened awhile back but i thought id share it anyway. so i ran a 6 speed c5 it had a catback and 100 shot said his bottle was almost empty my mods in sig. all runs from a 20 roll. 1st run we line up honk it off i dead hooked and pulled a half a car slammed 2nd so hard i thought my 10 bolt was going to be spitting its guts, we stay equal though 2nd go to hit 3rd and i missed he passes me but i regain fast get it in 3rd and stop his pull and he shut down at 1xx with him a half a car up. i was stoked i figured id get my *** handed to me. we ran 2 more times from a 20 roll each time perfect shifts to about 110 and i had him by a half a car to a car with me pulling more up to. my car started feeling slow to me i thought something mite be up but i guess not, all and all guy was cool and it was good races

I am guessing he prolly wasnt lying about the bottle being low on pressure because I would have thought he would have been ahead but either way good runs.

Good kill! I also think that he would have pulled if he had a full bottle, but that's the downside to nitrous.

yea i was expecting to loose thinkin with 100 shot hes prob making very close to my hp maybe more plus more tq in a lighter car well my car weighs 3300 without me i think the vette is what 31xx but it was a fun race not a cocky vette driver when the weather gets nicer we are going to meet again with him a full bottle and me heads

I think that sounds just about right... just because the vette had a 100 shot doesnt mean that it put 100 to the ground it really depends on the kit that he has..and being stock cept for exhaust even with a full bottle you are most likley putting down more rwhp then he is.. sure he does have a tq over you off the hit but down low like that is going to be useless.. he will spin... good kill!! this all assuming that its a ls1 vette i forgot if you mentioned it in the story..

pretty sure if your running a 100 shot, your putting down 100 rwhp or maybe 5hp more or less. nitrous jets are based on rwhp not fwhp.

I'm not certain if it's true, but I have heard that not all nitrous kits are as true about their ratings as others. NOS comes to mind...

No they are not all rated the same... and a 100 shot doesnt always mean 100 to the wheels... think about it this way.. a universal kit says it has a 100 shot.. so does that take into a count every different vehicles drivetrain loss? so they will all make 95-105 rwhp? Even more to think about it when your talking a auto vs. a manual...
