LQ9 Z28 vs. Vortec Mustang, LT1 Firebird (Videos) Hanging out last night with Azn Muscle and a few Arizona F-body members. Our LT1 guy (
) had a buddy come with a SN95 GT mustang with a Vortec blower on it. Had some pretty meaty 315s on it, and was pretty loud.
First pass that I got to run him was 50 - ~135 roll (I had some serious traction issues below 45). Video is below (he gets the hit)
Second run was from a 20 roll against the LT1 car (He has run 13.1 @ 107ish?). He had no traction issues Jumped the **** out of me as I spun and played catch up:
My car is a cam/bolton 6 Liter LQ9, through a stalled 4L60E and 9 inch. My bottle wasn't in the car.
Azn Muscle raced the Mustang too, and beat him much more than I did, but he can chime in on his experience. The Mustang guy was real cool, and I doubt this will be the last time we meet

, and they did go from a VERY low roll, but it's not immediately apparent from that particular video exactly how many cars the Mustang got the LT1 by. I was camera/chase car for this one... quite obviously spinning trying to catch up to them haha. It looks like the Mustang won by a lot more than he actually did. LT1 shut down and the Mustang wanted to top out his speedometer.
I keep kicking myself for not bringing my HD Pro....

Gaunt, he wants a rematch. I thought I texted you, but I was drinking Thursday so IDK. He had a pretty bad boost leak (good size hole before the maf, from what PSR was saying used to be a N2O set up) that is fixed now, and he says it is pulling much better.
