Default Buick Regal vs 98 Auto

I went out to breakfast this morning and stopped off at the car wash afterwards. It's been about 3 months since I cleaned the Regal... Pulling out I noticed a Z28 coming out of the touch-less at the same time. It was really clean (obviously!) and the kid driving was from my school, I've seen him around campus a few times. So we're both turning on to the same 2 lane road to get back to school and I get next to him.

I point ahead like lets do somethin... He laughs probably thinking I'm nuts. He's from Jersey so he probably has no idea what he's even driving but never the less he guns it. I take off right with him but I spun pretty good. He got a little jump but going into 2nd I stopped his pull and started to creep on back. By 80 I was pulling him in solidly. I took 2nd all the way to 105-110mph (yeah 2nd) and cruised by him. I stopped at the 3rd gear shift ahead a full car.

We got back to school and he parked next to me. He was SHOCKED that I pulled around him, he said that earlier this week he beat a Corvette. Who knows what year the Vette was though, he sure didn't. All I could get out of him was that it looked kinda new and it was loud. Probably a C5.

His car is a a4 98 with a lid and catback. He didn't know which gears he had, but at the rate I came around him I don't think it would matter much.

Good kill. 2.73 cars are turds, but the Regal runs so strong that it wouldn't surprise me if it were a 3.23 car. Makes me kind of want to buy my mom's Regal GS for a DD...the gas mileage sucks though, even with her driving.

I spent a lot of time on the tune for my car regarding gas mileage. I usually average about 22-23mpg per tank. Stock was around 19. I'm also making like 75% more power than stock lol..

Good kill!

How far away is school again? Any chance of setting up a run with him in the G8?

^ Someone really wants to run today.

Ju1ce I assume you tuned your car yourself then? I could buy my mom's GS for cheap but I do a lot of highway driving. What do you get highway (mpg)? The plan was originally to get a honda or something like that for a beater but I wouldn't mind a modable DD.

Yeah I did tune it myself. All highway it'll get right around 29-30.

About 25-30 minutes from Burger King on the pike. In the exact opposite direction from where you come from though. If I see the kid around again I'll ask him.

Actually I think Ju1ce jacks off with his GTO but instead he stuffs his pecker in the tailpipe...

Just kiddin', Ju1ce. Good kill.

Never knew those regals had so much potential. I see quite a few around here, but either they sound like ***, or they're beat to ****.

Good kill.

Good kill, Juice! I'm still trying to decide if I want to pick up a used G8 GT/GXP as a DD or Camaro SS or just stick with the new truck or Tahoe idea whenever my Eclipse hits the fan
