You've got the full mods on my "V" accurate. For those that asked, my CTS-V recently got some numbers on Speed Inc.'s dynojet and made 578 rwhp and about 540 ft lb. (SAE) through an auto. I don't remember the actual tq. number off the top of my head (the dyno files are at home). Some "V"'s with my mods make 600+ rwhp, but I asked for a safe street setup and I know Speed Inc.'s dyno gives real world numbers. My car also still has a completely stock exhaust. The car has trapped 129, so it is making decent power, but headers are likely in my future.
I'm not sure what some people that posted here were expecting. Yes the Z06 is stock, but damn they're light and hellaciously fast, especially from a roll. You had a passenger and I had about 120 pounds of 4.6 Modular Ford Cobra Heads/Parts in the trunk. To be honest, I didn't think I'd be able to get around you on the top end. Yes I lifted off the gas after I pulled in front, but we were already going........well.......REALLY FAST and I didn't see the need to race any further.
As I mentioned at the light afterwards, I've been a best of 10.84 in the 1/4 (on 18 inch DRs). My 10.84 run was during qualification for a match race event where we single qualified with the scoreboards off, but here's a run from the same day in competition to give you an idea of what my car could do on a cold October day with the motor cooled:
RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS:
GNXS CTS-V at Byron
As I mentioned, I think with the car and blower all heated up on the street I probably trap 124-126. Once again, thanks for the race. I hope we can catch up again and BS and talk cars/racing some time. Maybe get out to Byron together some time. Awesome car and nice driving redctsv. And many thanks to your buddy for the video.
