who would win?
i dont if this is the right place to post it but here it goes.i have 98 camaro ss.
and buddy of mine has 95 mustang gt with engine swap 5.0.he swears his **** is fast.and we decided to settle this.
the SS:mild cam(would've been nice if the last owner would've told me the exact cam.he didn't know) kooks header, borla exhaust,ls6 intake, and injectors,4.10 rear end.according to last owner heads were redone(he didn't know wht was done to them)and the car is dyno tuned.and mine is 6 speed.
his mustang:frrp forged pistons,gt-40 heads with 1.6 roller rocker,e303 cam,4.10 rear end,and he did NOT get tune yet.and its automatic.and i think he has slp exhaust.
so what you guys think?do i even need to worry abt it?and yes i will record it.it's going down this Saturday.i want to hand his ford *** to him and wish him merry Christmas.lol

This is the wrong section for this thread...there is a bench racing section for it. To answer your question as long as you can drive descent and don't spin in place for 10 seconds its gonna be you by a B U S.

Make sure you post vid in here sat. You can stand beside your driver door, give him the hit, jump in your car, start it up, release the ebrake, back out of your parking spot and still put 2cars on him by the end of the quarter. Lol if you lose this some how dont post it lol

The sn95 just refers to the 94-98 cars. 94-95 were 5.0's, 96-98 were 4.6. Not that it will affect the outcome any.

I had a 95 GT automatic. It was a 'vert to boot, with leather, etc. Heaviest Mustang EVER(at the time). Ran 15's at the track, factory stock. I never modified it in any way.
If his transmission is stock, he has no chance, even if you miss a gear. He's got, if your list is remotely accurate, a 14 second car. MAYBE upper 13's. Okay, possibly mid 13's, but there's just no chance it's quicker than 13.4... No chance I tell you! That's with slicks and someone who really knows when to shift at the wheel.
Your car should nail down 12's pretty much anywhere in America... So unless he's setting you up and has a stroker or 351W under the hood and at least a valve body in that AODE, you can only lose this race by either not racing or quitting around the 1/8th or sooner.

As for racing one without a tune... Well, most cars were raced without a tune when that was built. The factory tune was quite good for what was going on and nearly every part could be changed without concern. Tuning wasn't even common until around 1999 and I can only think of 2 shops who had a dyno within 100 miles of where I lived prior to 2001. Now, they're just about everywhere.
Back in the 90's, I built Mustangs commonly... Cams, heads, STROKER engines, blowers, whatever... No tuning aside from that done in the driveway for about 95% of them. By the late 90's, people realized if you used forced induction, a tune was MOST likely going to help things in many ways. Before then... rare to see.
