Default 1998 Z28 FATALITY via 2011 GT500 puppy kick

This was a fun one until I figured out the first 2 vids were not actually recorded. So instead of pressing record I kept pressing pause from recording. In short I have 5 mins of me following this fella talking **** like a retard. First 2 runs not on vids were deffinately better with the hit being debatable and Instead of kicking it down I held 2nd. Regardless of the details, anything above 60 he would eventually pull me till we let off. I do wished we could of stretched the race out, due to a previous run were we reached 130ish, and his pull was not as prominent.

His front tire about even with me and he took the hit from 65ish-120ish.

Your mods? I can hear the big converter, and sounds like it's rapping out to 6700+rpms so that means cam. LT's and cutout also? Nice death. you think he was stock?

I think if you cleaned your dash you might be faster.....that's alot of dirt your haulin around.

I usually don't mind sharing the mods but, I'm pretty sure yous guys are going to verbally pippy kick me throughout this thread. Maybe the forum, so lets jus say it was a honorable death to a worthy opponent...Or lemme guess that's not going to work tonight???

You hung pretty well if your mods haven't changed. stall headers and a tune. Strap it with a 100 shot and be a playa.

Lol! Your right its a damn pig pin in my car. I dont have a good excuse other then I'm going through the big D. an don't mean Dallas. Seems most everything fell to the wayside lately. Hey, I need people to slap me straight, so I don't wind up off the deep end.

Anyways enough sensitive ****. So the mods listed above jus about covers it . I did change the fuel pump which allowed me to get the tune dialed perfect.

With the little mods you have he def should have pulled you harder, but like stated above his shifts are pretty damn bad

I would want to agree with you guys and correct me if I'm wrong but, the shift seen is 4 th to 5th. Which I believe is not the easiest to shift fast relative to
the others.

If you watch close in the begining you can see how bad this guy jumps the hit in the corner of my side mirror and catches 3rd to 4th without dropping the front end too much. This is given he's a 3.73 car which I'm almost sure that it is. Yes, I do agree given the details he should have yanked the my doors off but, my Z is imo. one of the quickest I've ever seen or heard of at 3600#'s w/the mods listed. Why?? I guess maybe my attention detail has given it a advantage over others.

Jus for the sake of clairity it does have some suspension work in the rear ie. sway bar, lca's
non adj., adj. torque arm,slp rear springs.Mods not listed are ls6 intake,and Free mods include PP T.B, extra some hacking on the SLP lid. I would like to point out that adjustments in the shift points and suspension make or break the car and I mean couple degrees in diference in the pinion or couple mph difference in gear shift translates to almost 1/2 second et reduction.

not that bad..should of done a lower roll..u probly would of hanged there better

The first two races were at lower rolls 45ish and 55ish. I didn't want to get too much into what happened in those runs since it could be veiwed as hard to believe. I learned in here, if its questionable then you better have some solid proof of the event. That's not too much to ask though, I mean almost every cell is a camera phone and just about everyone right down to their pet has a cell.

So the first 2 runs against the GT500 didn't fair as well for him but, like I said in theorignal post he would either catch up or be gaining eventually. So in short I really think the GT500 would lose at the strip but, on the street from a high roll I'm dead meat.

I did get a couple runs logged this weekend against a cam only car that had quite a few mods over me and did really well considering the difference.
This is a screen shot of the run, elapsed time on the lower right of the picture. 22mph-148mph was the speed covered. This is not me against the GT500 it is me against a cam only T/A last weekend.
