Default LS3 99 SS vs 675R (bike) *vid*

Had a minor issue with the fuel pump so the car shut off at 110, fixed it on the shoulder.

Sounded like the bike started in the wrong gear.

He was in 1st at 6000 rpms. He said the gearing isn't so great on those bikes.

On paper that bike should be pretty much the same as mine as far as straight line performance goes. Same weight and very similar dyno results from the Dynojet graphs I've seen (more torque for the 675r and roughly the same peak power with a similar hp curve, just lower in the RPM band). I'd love to run one to see how it would go.

What speed did you start at and where was he shifting?

And more importantly, what are the specs/numbers from the Camaro?

Looks like a good matchup!

That's a cool looking bike. Is that the same Camaro from the Camaro vs G8 video?

(As it say in the video ) the race was 40-110 not sure where he was shifting id have to ask but hes a pretty competent rider. Were gonna have a rematch soon as well as running a true 600.

Heres some info on the camaro

The new 675R should actually be a little quicker than the Suzuki. The engine is the same as the base 675, but they both got an upgrade recently. The R is also a little lighter I believe. My buddy's put down 111 stock on a Dynojet. My 04 ZX-10 with a full Akrapovic and custom tune put down 161 on the same dyno, so that is pretty much spot on what one would expect out of my bike.

The new 675s are very strong Supersport class bikes. That is only counting on people ringing the guts out of both bikes though. Like you have mentioned, rider is everything even in a straight line, and those bikes are close enough that you could beat one that is ridden even slightly sub-par.

I wish I had a comparable bike to race against my buddy's 675R, but my ZX-10 flat demolishes him so we can't really count it. The true test will be against my RC-51 after I get it finished though. Unfortunately, that's a few more months out.

Gsxr 600 first imo, if you can't do that...then too bad so sad. I don't get it...
