GSXR-750 vs Boss 302 (Comparison runs)
Thanks to Evangto87 for coming out tonight for races he was well aware he'd lose. These 80's muscle cars don't run too bad after all.
I appreciate the sportsmanship man, all in fun.

silly 80s muscle cars... and my shifts sound wicked slow. I knew my fifth gear ones were slow last night because i didnt feel like power shifting and missing. But even my fourth gears sound slow and i WAS powershifting them. Weird.
On another.. Good beating. As was expected prior to race lol.

Thanks. Personally i think the boss sounds great.
Thanks man, my biggest thing was comparing this bike to my last one, which wouldn't have pulled at all.
I did a lot wrong and still only lost by a car-length when trying to make it a race. Blows my mind that a lot of people are that bad at riding.

Good comparison runs!
It's amazing how bad some people are at riding those things. Forget starting in one gear too high, some people don't realize you can downshift...at all. It's like the guys who have cars that wind out to 6800 rpm, but think 3000 is the sweet spot

Haha, well that was pretty expected, but always fun to see comparison runs just for the hell of it (hey, we'd all be beating on our vehicles anyways, so why the hell not? ). SRZ and I do the same thing with my bike when we're out cruising with various cars to see what makes it a good run. The bad rider factor is even worse on a 600 because the motors make so little torque that even one gear too high in many cases can absolutely skew the outcome big time. And the fact that they lose steam quicker up top makes an improper tuck or bad shifts points even worse.
This video really makes me look forward to lining up my bike with Beans' 750 to see some real world comparisons. Obviously it shouldn't be much of a race, but hopefully he'll at least be close enough that I can count the bike lengths as they increase.
Nice job, guys.

And even the ones that do like to mess around a bit typically don't realize just how far you can drop gears, how to control them at those high RPMs, where the best shift points are, or how much things like bad (or no) tucking affects the performance, especially at higher speeds. There's this massive misconception that even if a 600 runs away from you down low, you'll catch it and walk by at 100mph because they hit a wall there. That's not even close to accurate on modern 600's, but there's enough poor riding out there to make it believable (and even realistic with your average rider on one).
That's just how it goes, I guess. But it does make it more fun for me when I hear someone running their mouth about how 600's are nothing. There are plenty of cars out there that will (and do) beat me, but it's typically the guys with the slower cars who are more ignorant to reality. They're always left scratching their heads or asking me "Is that a 1000?! Or just a 750?" as if me saying 750 would really disappoint them...

we will see if a few more bolt ons can hold me over.. although for 4200 bucks, a novi 2200 on 8 psi would get me 700whp..8 psi.... god damn.. Pretty sure i could fart more pressure then that lol

I'd really like to get a windscreen on this thing before we line up. If the point is to compare bikes as accurately as possible i want to ensure that i can ride it to potential.
I had to do almost everything wrong to lose this race.
That thing is very quick and like i've said before, with full bolt-ons and DRs it's going to upset a lot of people.

What compression does your 302 have anyway? Isn't it a N/A motor like the ls7?
