Mustang Mach 1 vs Buick
Well.. After dinner I decided to run to the gas station and fill the Buick up so I didn't run out on the way to school tomorrow. In the first pump is a really nice looking black Mach 1. I honestly have a thing for those years Mustangs, specifically the Mach 1. Just as I finished filling the Buick, he was walking out of the store. He got in.. Fired it up.. Sounded VERY nice.. Say what you want.. buy Mustangs sound pretty good. Anyways.. I fire it up (dump open) and he looks right at the GN and smiles... Great, I thought.. This should be interesting. I manage to pull out in front of him (as a Camaro drives by) and he follows behind. I head for the Highway... I was hoping the Camaro would get on the highway, but no such luck.
We merge.. He is right behind me.. Kind of on my ***, but not really close. He flips left blinker on... I drop it into 3rd.. I am doing about 55-60 MPH.. I hear the Mach roar to life over the terrible wind noise of my Buick. I punch it, boost pegs, alcohol injection lights illuminate, the open exhaust lets out a high pitched sssssssssssssss and I feel the rear-end slip a little before hooking (need to get some better tires.. 235 BFGs ftw!). By the time all this happened, he was on my door with a head start. By 120 (the top of 3rd) the Mach is about 6 lengths behind me. My car is NOT built for highway runs, so I only usually run it up to 120. The Mach would have had the advantage after that anyways.
Enjoy!

Holy ****, 340 HP and 500 lbs ft? You have a diesel 3.8 in that thing? LOL thats some amazing torque numbers for a V6. And nice kill btw. By now I would hope that most people know (and fear) a GN if they see one. I got my clock cleaned by one in my old shelby GT mustang on the highway one day. Wasn't even close. He burned me so bad I considered selling the car that day.
