Default 2013 Shelby GT500 vs 2010 Nissan GTR (vid)

we had some fun in mexico

a stock 2010 GTR vs a stock 2013 GT500

this is at high elevation so the GTR has a little advantage.

as you all know Turbo cars dont suffer as much as supercharged cars! and its even worst in N/A cars (I have to live with it everyday on my Z06!)

No power shifting in the GT500 (but the shift were pretty fast)

GT500 has Nitto Invo 295 tires and 1.5" lowering springs.

Enjoy

the outcome wasn't surprising at all. heavier + less power. Yes he has the advantage of not losing as much power at this high elevation but still we are talking 100+HP and 400lbs less

Exaxtly what I expected. If I was able to pull on a GTR with my HCI LS1 407rwhp, a 2013 GT500 will pull easily!

Not surprised at the outcome. They aren't exactly invincible, and it was a 2010 which I knew would lose on a roll vs a 13 GT500.

Weight there is only a 100lb difference. GT500's are 3800lbs to the earlier GT-Rs 3900lbs. The HP difference is greater as it's 485 to 662.

There was a video a few months back stock 2013 GT500 vs a stock 2013 GTR.... And that GTR got pulled. This 2010 GTR had no chance from a roll. Cool video though. Thanks for sharing.

I didnt know they were only 100lbs difference. I thought the GTR was 4100# and the GT500 was 3700lbs but yea the point I am trying to make is that there is a big power difference and also some weight difference.

I know the factory curb weight of a GT-R is 3950lbs to be exact. I thought the 2013 GT500 was the same weight as the previous years as I saw the curb weight for the 2012 GT500 was 3800lbs. As you stated before their is a weight and huge power difference.

Curb weight of the GT500 is in fact 3850. Theres a 100lb difference. That high altitude made this a close race. It pulled the stock 13 gtr harder.

I think at that altitude a 13' GT-R would pull on the GT500.
