C6 Z06 vs. 2012 GT500 12/16 with video I thought I'd share a pretty awesome race ( in my book ) I had this past Saturday. The car was a 2012 GT500, modded, but I forget what all exactly he had done to it. I know he had CAI, and full exhaust for sure 'cause his car was loud as f**k, but I forget what else the owner said was done to it. I do remember him saying it made about 650FWHP. My car is a 2008 Z06 still bone stock. No tune, no nothin.
Anyway, we line up and I agree to honk it off. 1st race was from a 50mph roll. I was in 1st gear with TCS off. Bad idea lol. I spun real bad on the hit, shifted to 2nd and started to fishtail a little then got out of it 'cause I almost dirtied ma britches lol. It didnt appear he had any issues as he was long gone.
2nd race was from about the same speed, maybe 60mph. I was in 2nd gear this time with the TCS on. 3 honks and I'm off, but he had traction issues this time as I saw he was way too far back in my mirror to have even been racing.
3rd race, we line up again and he says he wants to go from a higher roll, he says 80mph. We're lined up, I'm in 2nd gear still, TCS still on lol. 3 honks and I floor it. Being that I honked, I get a little bit of a jump and continue to pull about a car length or so till 150mph, when I let out. We talked afterwards and he said he couldn't really hear my honks and spun slightly, but he was still a great sport about it and we agreed on a rematch next time we're cruisin. I was suprised at the outcome, being that i was down considerably on HP, but I know I have weight and aero on my side. I'm waiting to to get ahold of a gopro video that someone recorded from a chase car. As soon as I get it, I'll post it.

Yes simple little cai would make it a rape session.. If your interested I have slightly less then 2k miles 1 7/8 3in x pipe long tube headers for sale talking 550$and the x pipe has bungs for your down stream o2's .. Pm me.. That's a huge gain for your car and you can sell your stock manifolds for easy 200-300$
