Good legal 1/8th mile street racing!! VID
Here is a vid from where we went out to a local airstrip for some legal hand drop racing. My car is the red 5th gen on the skinnies. They wouldn't allow me run my slicks so I borrowed a set of mt drag radials to run. I couldnt leave as hard as normal but it ran good. I won the money in our 8 car money race bracket. Its about half way through the vid. I beat a mustang 5.0 that I set out a car length. A heavily modded powerstroke. Then my grudge match against a cam, ls6 heads (milled), 3600 converter, 3.73 gear and sprayed 4th gen.
I ran some other guys included a nitrous sbc s10 and he beat me about a fender on the top end.
For all the runs I had full interior, full street trim with the exception of the tires. And for my last 3 runs, I even let the wife roll with me.
The other 5th gens are m6 cars that are both in need of some clutch and tire upgrades, maybe suspension.

Supposed to be a 355 on a 150 shot. Still has the 7.5 rear.

I about spit my food all over the screen when I saw that Ford truck take off in reverse.
We have a local air strip like that, but yours has way more prep on the starting line. Looks like a fun time.

How far of a drive is it for you? I'm about an hour and half from there. I've been really wanting to go and run my 5th gen. How would a bolt on L99 hook on street tires (no drag radials yet)? And how many cars usually show up?
