My Turbo TA vs Supra vs C6 Z06 1/2 mile shootout (Regal pg. 3)
So I went to the WannaGOFAST 1/2 mile shootout in Chicago area yesterday and got a few passes in. I drove the car up there, ran a few passes, and drove it back(in the rain no less). Streetcar FTW!!!!

Supra vs Turbo TA
We agreed to do a roll and since this was our first run of the day and we're not sure what the run off was we both agreed to run low boost. I ran spring pressure at about 10psi. Not sure what the supra's boost level was, but whatever it was, it was low for him. I started in 2nd and bumped into third after getting traction. He was up about a car off the initial hit where I spun more. Once I was in third I started pulling. Then I had to bump into OD but pushed it into neutral as I was walking by him. It cost me the race, but oh well

This was my second run. I spoke to the guy ahead of time and offered to race from a dig or a roll and he wanted to do a dig. I said sure. Now the thing is that this isn't a prepped track. It's an airport strip where they did vht a little and expressed only small burnouts. I was only going to limp it out and then get on it as they vht'd such a short patch. I foot braked the car a little just to build up some rpm and after getting out about 100' I got on it and spun a bit. I left it in OD the whole time. We both got out of the hole with the vette having a small 1-2 car lead on me. It was bad for him after that. I came around quick and put lengths on him. This run I trapped 165mph to his 154mph. I was on 13psi medium boost.
This event was a ton of fun. I had issues getting the car ready, but the car came together nicely toward the end. The 4l80e took going into OD WOT without missing a beat. I have to address some of my crank case pressure issues and hood latching as the hood did lift 3" in the middle. Also I used every bit of run off to stop the car. It was less than 2000'
Other highlights would be my buddies running their supra's to the tune of 160-198mph. Sick little garage built cars that were giving some shop built cars a headache. Don't get me wrong, some shop built cars were having a good showing as well including a speed inc car running 202mph. Oh and the sea of GT-rs that also ran. No UGR lambo's and the ones that were there ran 140-150mph. My buddy put a beating on a green lambo in his 335i. Walked him up top too.

You can contact the people at WannaGOFAST.com to see if they would be interested in hosting it. The trouble is finding an runway that will let you do it and also having enough participants to fill it.

I went to the GA one last year, it was a one day event, this year it's two days. And this year I'm taking the Camaro, I can't wait for Sept. How good does the Gopro stay on the paint? I just got one and have only ran it on the glass so far and only to about 110.

On 13psi I trapped 165mph to the z06's 154mph. I was going to turn up the wick and run full boost at 17psi but I would have lost my hood. I was lifting it about 3" in front. I'm waiting for the pic of it because it looked like it about to **** the bed.
Its a ton of fun to drive and very comfortable. I was the quietest car out of the group when my cutout is closed. I drive this thing all over the place. I drive it to and from the event with a pretty heathy downpour as well.
You'll have no problem. My buddy John had one on his supra and he ram 198mph

Yeah he is moving. I liked how he caught the blue vette at the end. In the first video you can see how squirrly he gets off the line. I tried avoiding that and rolling out a bit before getting on the gas.

In that first video, once the green light lit, I counted to 4 to give him a lead and see if I could catch him. Didn't think I was going to, but finally ripped by him only about 100ft from the 1/2 Mile marker. He hit 141mph to my 163mph in that video. Close!
