Default 640hp GT500 vs 416 GTO

416 GTO M6 vs 2007 gt500 2.8 KB

Gto was on et streets and gt500 was on mickeys

Dynoed it and was only making 480/460 for these races, and was shifting at 7,200. It made peak power at 6,300. oops

Not to bad for all motor vs power adder.

First run I hooked hard and pulled about a car on him, held it into 3rd when he starts pulling back. We would have been door to door past the spectators at the 1/4 mile had I not tried winding it out to 7,500 and getting locked out of 4th.

Second run I overheated the tires I think and it didn't leave nearly as good, coupled with what the gt500 owner said was his best launch ever = roughly 4 cars. Gt500 in car vids coming soon! Headed to the strip now!

Nice runs!

It'll be interesting to see your strip numbers.

note: GT500 probably has a 2.8kb not a 2.3kb.

Nice runs. You had him on the first run!

PS: I like the Nelly selection better than Kanye.

good races man. I do have to tell you that IF your maf is cavitating like mine was, then the pick up in power will more then make up for the pull he put on you. seriously, it's that big a difference.

My car used to run great until 75mph or so where other cars would suddenly turn the tables and start there walk around me. Never failed, once I got near 100mph was when big hp cars initiated there pull on me. Until I fixed my maf. Cars that I felt I should have been able to hold off on the top end would suddenly seem to have alot more power then they should have, which is a very frustrating experience.

I'll reiterate this again: you have to have a eyeball on the LIVE readout of the maf voltage as it flicks so fast back n forth when it cavitates that both hptuners and my old handheld predator tuner didn't log what was happening correctly: they seemed to average the high and low numbers that it flashed between when the air cavitation was in full force. only a live readout will show the true problem.

I pulled mine out and went S/D tune and the car picked up 38hp on the dynoe on back to back runs.
