Just getting off work, around 1230 at night or so, went on a short cruise to clear my mind because my new job is gay as hell. Hoping to find a race along the way. Well my wish came true.

I leave a stop light and I hear mustang next to me, look over and its a 96 or 97, something of that sort. He has at least some type of exhaust, some gay 18s and shitty paint. I was paying attention to see if he wanted to run because he seemed to be driving a little aggressive. No dice at first, then I figured what the hell, hit it and went by WOT. Look into the mirror to see if he bit, nothing, guy must know what's up when it comes to LS cars lol. Red light comes up and were side by side, I notice a newer civic with hid's behind him. Green, we never fully stopped from the red light, and he hits it and I'm late, he's a car ahead when I drop the pedal, but it didn't matter, blew past him around 50 or 60 when he shifted, I only pull to 70 cause there's another red up ahead. Look and it turns out the civic wanted in too. We all three get to a dead stop this time, everyone has a lane to themselves. Green hits, I let him get the jump and rolled into it, started to spin slightly around 20 when I went WOT, but I'm still pulling him very hard and fly by, the civic was already 2 cars behind him, and once we hit 90 I'm up on the stang by 5. Another red, just me and the civic this time, green hits and I let him have it. Stalled to 2k and left, no spin, hit 100 and he's a bus length behind. Next red the guy asked 'is that a trans am?' I was like 'yea' surprised he didn't know what a 4th gen T/A looks like lol, then he said 'man that thing gets!' I was like ''ehh its alright' lol and gave him the thumbs up as we left.

A stalled LS car is no joke.

Nice runs, man. Too bad you couldn't stop and bs to see what you just raced or what mods he had.

BTW...the Stang was ahead of the Civic? LOL..Imagine if the Civic was pulling the Stang. That would have been really sad.

Lol thanks y'all.

I'm still looking for a new camaro to race, none of them ever wants to bite, ever. Mustangs, civics, hell even bimmers and a new altima coupe all wanted some but the guys driving the new camaros never want none.

Good kills... OP just read your sig and you're selling yourself short.

I went 12.8 with an 8.4 in the 1/8th... 8.1 is good for better than that. Good luck!

if you want to race a new Camaro don't bother with an L99.

Agreed..
That 1.8 60ft is great and gets his ET down. His car runs strong up front but I cannot understand the trap speed. That trap should be around 109 or 110mph..IMO

A civic owner humble in defeat...

Rare find indeed.

Yeah my 60 was a 2.0 with a 110mph trap. Maybe it doesn't lock up?

What'd you trap and 60?

My 12.97 was on a high 1.8x, but I was forced to run the 1/8 all night for no helmet. It was 60'ing in the 1.7x range, with a best of 8.17. You think that's with a 12.6-7?

No lock up in the big end, but its only lid/cat back/ stall with maybe 70 lbs taken out. DA was around 800.

I was dissapointed with the trap also, but didn't expect more.

My first run I was pissed though, ran 13.3 with a 1.9 not spinning and trapped 101. Stalling it up made for 1.7xs and the one 104 pass, probably has a 105 and a 12.6-7 in it.

Not at the track but on the street I'm showing no KR, and .5-1.0 timing adv if I'm not mistaken. Around the same weather as when I was at the track.

My 8.17 pass netted me a 83.9 mph

I have to disagree. Mine was trapping 108 mph stock and with just a tune 112 mph. I never had a problem with a bolt on Fbody.
