98 mustang gt vs 98 camaro z28
Just a fun run between me and my buddy's gt. It was pretty late not good lighting and we went a bit farther than the 1/4 th.
mustang (near lane)
3.55 gears
cai
SR performance throttle body and Plenum
true dual 3" flowmaster exhaust (orxpipe)
hand tuned
camaro (far lane)
lq9 (ls1 heads and intake)
2.73 gears
flowmaster cat-back
cut-out
street tuned (vengeance racing)
pp throttle body
weight reduction
shift kit
36lbs injectors
both on street tires, both automatics, mustang had 4 cars and got to hand drop himself

Nice kill. Those non-PI 4.6 motors suck. They don't even manage to break 200hp to the wheels with a 5-speed, stock. Through an auto, it's even worse.
Even if he's boosted now, I wouldn't worry.

Truth. As long as he's still running the stock top-end, I doubt he'll ever see the north side of 350rwhp. OP, you should tell him to at least swap to a PI intake manifold since he's looking for power; on a boosted setup I'd wager just that change would yield at least 30rwhp peak.

It's not gonna be as quick as an equally-modded LS car or Cobra, but they can still be pretty fun. You can pick up an intake manifold for ~$150 pretty easily, so that's a no-brainer to me to pick up some good power.
