Why do people even buy 5th gens?

Looks about right, I'm guessing the 5th gen puts down about 600 or so, good runs.

Still a damn good race, the vette's driver definitely needs to learn how to shift and the outcome might have been different. Camaro did not do too bad imho (they are so heavy).

About what you'd expect from a lightweight sports car and a heavy pony car battling it out. Nice run. I actually thought the fif gen did well, a cammed LS3 is no bullshit.

Probably about 100whp difference and close to 700-800lb weight difference. Pretty much as expected...

I always thought cam only ls3's ran good. The one i ran a couple years ago went 10.7 @131. That should put the 5gen in pretty good territory.

Besides ......the 5gen won.

I would hate to see what a boosted 5.0 would do to that 5th gen or vette.

A boosted 5br0 would likely need e85 to outrun either of those cars.
