As idiotic as most people drive now, the last thing I would want is a exotic car that runs like forrest gump with magic legs. At least when someone cuts you off to gain two car lengths on the way to work, I am sure you will have plenty of brakes to keep from hitting them in the Lotus. Every car I own has power for a reason. Mostly fun but partially to stay away from tards, pull out in traffic and pass if need be.

That engine in the V6 Camry runs 14s@99 while weighing 500lbs more, and the Evora runs 13s at 105. That's plenty of power to get out of the way and pass, even more so in a 3,000lb car. Sure it's not 400+rwhp, but the point of this car is to be fairly light and handle well, not be a straight-line car.

Not really, because you don't need to straight-line race everything that moves. Or you just go around the first sharp corner at speed and watch them crash behind you in their futile attempt to keep up, since that's the point of this car.

Face it, a Lotus is a car from hipsters to own just so they can tell stories about it later after they sell it. Not for car guys. I'd rather own a new Miata then that Lotus if it came to small lightweight sports cars to own just for the joy of driving them.

so are you stating that a evora is going to destroy a ZL1/Z28/1le/boss mustang around a road course then? Haven't looked up the times myself from the magazines, but I'm betting that the answer is one helluva big "NO". Sure it rotates well being so short and light, but I doubt it pulls more cornering G's nor much if any higher average speeds thru any but the tightest of tight corners. And then gets slaughtered on pretty much any straightaway.
