Default H/C/I/125 Shot G8 GT vs Whippled 3v

Same G8 I ran the other night, just on the giggle sauce for these runs.

G8: Rick Crawford built heads, cam, intake, full exhaust, stall, 125 shot, 3.42's, bottle pressure was supposedly lower

3v: 2.3 Whipple, built 5.0L stroker TreeVee, 3.55's, Full exhaust, Hot Rod cams

View from the G8:

These runs were from a while back ago, just now got around to putting them on YouTube. And really around here, it's the same people who race each other. So basically our group. The rest are pussies and just park at Sonic to talk about how they race but never do.

STL should be doing it more than us, really!

They do in South County, but it's a ton of cars to the point the entire home depot parking lot is full lol. I'd rather have a smaller group of guys that go out together and have fun. Don't get me wrong, I like running different people, but it's just a different vibe I guess.

Edit: A lot of those guys out there are moreless grudge racers, everything is secret about times and always hiding mods. I'm more of a straight forward guy, I'd rather make good runs than line up and the race be way unmatched. Not taking away from grudge runs, they have their places, just not for me. I'd rather run dead nuts with someone, it's more of an adrenaline rush for me.

3v made 547 whp on 93, G8 went 11.0 before the trans had learned the shifts while on the juice. It went 11.3 off bottle so it's got a lot left in it with the 125 shot.

G8 is going on a diet and the 3v is getting tuned for corn and possibly a cam swap so we should have round 2 in the spring.

Haha that's hysterical because I go to the Somerset Sonic Thursday meets during the summer.

I think your car is going to gain a lot with both mods.

And I love your car!

Thank you! From what I've seen, the little 2.3 whipple maxes out around 700 whp but that's with stage 3 heads/cams. So I'd like to get as close to that number as possible. I'm still running the stock heads with a hand port so we'll find out how efficient those are when it hits the dyno again. I know the hot rod cams in it now are definitely holding back some power.

We go to Sonic as well, but we don't sit around and talk all night long. Basically just go to set up who is racing who.

I know Somerset gets down all the time... I'm on the 859 page on Facebook and you ****'s race every night it seems like lol.

Agree completely, our small group that actually races in our area just sets up races that we know will be good and no one hides anything besides maybe a couple white lies for a prank LOL. Told our buddy with a bolt on termi the 3v in the vid was on stock block and 8 psi one night, he was trying to figure out what was wrong with his car after that run hahaha.

The rest of the guys with "fast" cars in our area are older and too scared to take a hit to their ego by losing, instead of just coming out to have fun. So they talk **** online about our roll racing lmao...

I'm not in the street action as much now, but I do tend to make guest appearances every so often.

Well remember it takes a H/C/I/E LS1 on a drag pack to keep up with a 3 mod 5.doh on 235 all seasons
