indeed it is. The Ole Lady begged for a 6 speed in the Mustang a while back but I couldn't make her understand that shifting gears may be fun but cost of built t56 plus running slower doesn't make sense

Insane runs. FL has some nasty *** cars, and you can pretty much register and drive anything on the street. I recently drove my Z28 40 mins down the highway and through the city, passed 2 different cops driving right next to me, and barely got a look from either of them.

Keep in mind my Z28 is loud as a ************, drag tires out back with 5" tread width Racemasters up front on RTS's, and is running like **** from sitting so smells like gasoline, bucks (yep, auto bucking even through the 3200 stall LOL) and chops crazy hard. I'd be the first to admit it should NOT be on the street as-is but they literally don't care...if it has a windshield, mirrors, and head/tail lights you're good to go! .

Exactly. A lot of the Supra guys still have a hard time with this...they pretty much worship the Getrag V160 as the be-all-end-all. It is definitely a nice piece and probably one of the strongest factory transmissions EVER...but the damn things are totally discontinued, can't find parts for them, most rebuilders quit working on them due to lack of parts, and a USED ONE goes for $6,000 ******* dollars and then a damn CLUTCH can run you $2k+. $8k for a factory transmission is ******* retarded. Some are smart and go the TH400 route w/ a GV OD and enjoy a faster car that can still cruise on the highway for a much lower price...with a trans that you can actually rebuild if it takes a ****.

Another reason behind the common 12 second 600hp Supra .
