First 05 Mustang just would not bite!!!
On my way to work this moring cruzing at about 75. I check my mirror for a lane change then do a double take. YES a 1/8 mile back i see what may be an 05 mustang. I slow down to 65 and once he gets close enough I was sure it was one. I drop down into 3rd ( A4 2.73's ) then he come along side of me. I burp the throttle a little no go. I look over and this guy my age 25ish is on his cell and just smiles. I point at him and gesture for us to get going there is no traffic. He slows to 55 and hits it and let off right away. I go into 2nd cut-outs screaming now at about 3500rpm Burp it a few more times he just will not bite. I am pretty upset. I've seen a few V-6's around but this is my first encouter with a GT. I even passed my exit for work for this chance to run. Oh well I'm sure I'll meet one at the track this summer. Has been posted at LS1.com & hideout.

What's the temperature in Wisconsin...20 degrees? You roll up on me in those conditions and there's no way I'm racing. The rear end would come around immediately. Just a thought...
I'm sure it was stock so you would've *** whipped him if he bit.

Actually, at that speed you might be better off with 2.73's. With 2.73's at 65 MPH you could recover second gear on a downshift and run second gear to over 85. With 3.73's you'd be in third the whole time. Anyhow I rode in an '05 GT with a 5-speed and from a roll I think it would run about even with my A4 Formula. I'm pretty sure neither car would pull away hard from the other.
