Default Killed by a Z28....

A guy saw some of my kills on this board and PM'd me to see if I wanted to race. I got his cell number, called him up and we ran em twice from a roll. He had an 02 Z28 with headers, upgraded auto transmition, and nitrous (he wasnt spraying at the time) We ran from about a 40-50 roll to about 130. The first race I hung with him till about 90 then he took me by like 3 car lengths. The second race I kept even till about 100, then he again jumped ahead by 3-4 car lengths. He said his Z was runnin 10.7's in the 1/4 mile so im not sad about loosing this race. He was a very nice guy, and it was cool to get the chance to race him.

I dont know, I stayed with him till 70 or 80 then he jumped ahead and didnt look back. He didnt have the nitrous hooked up so he couldnt have used that. Im guessing my car runs low 13s high 12s in the 1/4.

is that all u have done to it....what's in your sig? Then probably more around mid to low 13's.. Get a stall, slicks, or gears and you will see 12's...

Weird. Somebody was not clear about his mods. LT's alone are not good for 3 cars up top, OR ARE THEY??? Hmmmm........
When my car's only mod were long tubes, I ran a stock A4 Z28 and reeled him in at the end of the 1/4, but not 3 cars worth.

Definately a strange account/occurrence given the mods mentioned.

I think he also had a convertor, air intake, drag radials, LS1 edit, and an upgraded auto transmission.
EDIT I also remembered that he had a cut out.

I'm no A4 expert (being that my setup's an M6), but I thought a verter's advantage shines immediately (either from a dig, or when just getting into a roll). Air intake does jack (maybe worth 1mph). Edit surely changed his shiftpoints. Still doesn't add up, but heck, stranger things are seen on the street.
Edit: Cutout on a bolt on car worth maybe 5hp. Your Loudmouth is just as efficient.

Default i am the one he raced

I am the one that he raced and when we got out there on the road and lined up he started blowing the horn to start the race, but i knew that his car was almost stock so I payed no attention to the horn sounds, I just kicked it when he did all three times and the last one i pated it twice just messin around . The car is an 02 Z with the following mods. Longtube hookers, K@N, 350 Turbo Trans with 3500 PTC, 12 bolt with 3.73, flowmaster with cutout, no internal engine work whatsoever, stock cam and heads. Has a dry kit but didnt have the bottle. But with all respect, Ryans Z is quick for stock and i showed him some of the easy mods to help his car.
