1992 mustang gt 5 speed
my car is 2000 a4 z28 current mods are slp lid, pacesetter lts, tsp true duals, taylor thundervolt 10.4 wires and ngk tr55 plugs. i am ordering a tci ssf3500, transgo shift kit and tranny cooler. my car has 2.73 gears.
my cousins 92 gt runs 13.5's. i only had my car on the one run and it was the first time i had ever been on a track and i ran a 13.98@102 with alot of spinning in first and some in second.(not sure what my 60' was)
when i get my stall put in should i be able to beat him? is it possible for me to get in the 12s before i get a set of 3.73s? thanks for any answers you might give.

if he's still running @ 13.5, and you have all those mods, plus launching correctly, you should devastate him. you must've spun a LOT to get 13.98 with those mods. you could be into 12's with nittos and a good launch. add that stall and you'll be doing even better!!! good luck!

You should be in the high 12's if your car is tuned. With the mods in my sig. you can see the 1/8th mile time which should equate to about a 13.0 +/- in the 1/4. I just installed headers and I'm getting it tuned next thurs. Hopefully I can get out to the track soon after that and get some updated times. This is w/ stock convertor and 2.73's. I'll repost times if I get out to the track. I'm thinking with your stall you should go a 12.3 - 12.4.

With 2.73's and a stock stall I'd say it would be a driver's race against a 13.50's Mustang. I'd run him from a dig and hope he gets excited and blows the tires off. Use the automatic to your advantage. If he spins you should be able to walk him.
