was driving around town last night look in for some good races but wasn't having any luck, i was looking for a few cars i saw earlier, there was a 99-04 salenee 281, evo and a 98cobra, wasent seeing them so am just crusin around well this white lt1 vett pulls in from of me so i follow him, he's truning to do that cat and mouse racing moving through traffic so i just try to keep up, finnaly we get a light, i look at him and ask if he want's to go he dosn't say anything so am ready anyway. light goes green and i punch it he gets a car cause i didn't get traction, well i start pulling hard by 45 were even and by 60 i got a little more than a car on him. so i turn off and meet up with my buddy at the on of the sonics and we see this guy on a bike that was following the vett, we ask him if they friends and he said ya, he asked who won and i said i did, he than stated that his friend could not drive and he could beat me in his stock 89 vett(if its a zr1 then i belive him. not sure thou when the zr1 came out) i asked what year the white on is and he said 93, so the vett shows up and i try to tell him good race and he just looks at me and turns to talk to his friend so we move our cars to there othere side and tell our othere friends what happen, the just said he was mad he lost.

Wouldn't a stock 1989 be the L98?
I dont see how a stock L98 could hang with an LS1... but that's just me.

I busted a stock 98 trans am *** when I had my stock 91 gta trans am, but the kid couldnt drive at all. Then my buddy got one and burnt my *** bad. Thats why I now own a ls1.

what are the l98 rated at 250 or something and the lt1 vetts?, also when did the zr1 come out?

From what I gather, the vette he raced was a '93, so that would be the LT1. The guy who owned the bike said he could have beat him with his stock '89. I hope I read that right. even so, I raced a '94 vette with my slightly modded LT1 '94 T/A and I won, so an LS1 should be able to leave one in the rearview with no problem.
