Z06/STi messing around
Well last night I was heading home after going out with the people from work. On the way I drove by a Z06. It was torch red and beautyful. I noticed it was a guy about maybe mid 30s. He seemed happy doing just over the limit in the slow lane, so I pulled up along the side of him. I looked over and tried to get his attention. Nothing was working.....honking the horn, bliping on and off my interior lights....nothing. So I took of down the road, where I hit a light. As I started going, I noticed he was back again. So, he goes past me and I follow. He gassed it then let off like nothing was gonna happen. I then pass him again, still trying to get him to look over. Still nothing, so I'm thinking what will it take?. Well finally he pulls next to me and romps on it, so I downshift and chase after him. He never pulled on me, but we didn't go all out. So I finally get him to look over and he gives me a thumbs up after a couple of quick burst(50-80). I wave back and we go our separate ways.

I just don't get it. It's pretty clear I would have a hard time running it, but what's with the people in the vetts not even trying? It is hard to get people to run me. I'm not even that modded, so I don't know what they are afraid of?
BigKevC5- I think they are just afraid to loose to a jap car. Is that it guys? JK. Really, what's going on with no one racing the STi crowd?

Not trying to be a dick, just providing a little explanation from my perspective.

Unit- what make a car "worthy" to you? I know obviously your car is well built, but what are the limits? I would have thought seeing my car you might be interested. If I still had my Z, I would have ran my STi.

I will not race anything if I'm in an area that is unfamiliar to me. The reason is that I don't know if that particular area is heavily patrolled or if there are spots that cops hide. In that case, a "worthy" car would have to be something that I know would give me a run for my money or maybe an exotic...Viper, heavily modded LS1, Ferrari, TT Porsche, Ford GT, etc. I guess something that I know can run a 10 or trap 130mph. It's not worth risking jail, increased insurance, tickets, and what not for an average car.
If I am in an area that I'm familiar with, I'll kill...err, race...damn near anything. I'm an equal opportunity street racer.

I totally understand. I will only do the same, with the exception of racing a 10sec car LOL. I would consider any modded LS1, LT1, well......basically anything that looks/sounds like a 12-13 sec car. I know I'd loose on the top end side, but from a dig, I'd risk it. I also agree with the not running in an unfamiliar place. The only run in unfamiliar location would be the innerstate that has a LONG strait.
