Default Look out for Crate engines!

I've got 4500 miles on my non trailer queen 56 Olds 88.

The sucker really goes. Hi 13's for a 4000 lb car is pretty good in my book.
So, I'm making my mark around our small town and have dusted off my share of "Over seas designed and manufactured modes of transportation". Is that PC???

Coming out of town last Saturday morning I see a maroon 69 442 Olds.
Nice looking!!!
I slide past and hit it and then let off.
He gets up along side and hits it and were off.
Holy FACK!!!
It's a constant pull up to about 110 and then he flashes his
brake lights.
From 35 to 110 he got me by about 10 car lengths.
I was givin it all I had too.

Turns out the guy was running a 502 fuel injected big block
GM Crate with the biggest intercooled centrifugal supercharger I've ever seen.
I met up with him at Wall Mart the following day and got to check it out.
He tells me that the're still trying to get it "dialed in".
Started with 510 hp before the SC and then had to have the computer re programed along with a few other details like
injectors and fuel pump.

DAMN!!! I need to find out more but didn't have the time
to take notes that day.

DT

PS, The guy that built my ride is now working on a 67 Camaro thats getting an LS2 that's been built for 555 hp.
Everything on it is chrome.
I'll get pix as soon as possible.
It's being mated to a new 6 speed

My 1970 Olds Rallye 350 is in a garage in TN just waiting for me to restore it. Hopefully I can get to work on it sometime soon. Love the 56, BTW.
