ProCharged Mach1 VS Sprayin LS1 T/A (me)
The Mach1 is ProCharged with 10psi and other bolt-ons with 4.30 gears. It put down 435rwhp & a lil over 500ft lbs on the dynojet. My car is a A4 with stock converter and 3.23 gear w/ all the bolt ons minus intake and pulley. I upped my nitrous to 150 wet & added some 100 octane. I put down 420/506 with a 125 shot.. Anyways..
Well he said a roll would be fine with him so I said how fast? and he said probly around 20 and I said ok thats cool I guess.. (but i was thinking it was stupid on there part with 4:30 gears) Anyways, we hit the hwy with about 5 cars and 3 bikes following.. We get lined up and I honk 3 times and we were off.. I pulled 2 car lengths right off the bat.. Then he let off..
So, he pulls back up beside me and says it wouldnt go into 2nd gear so we line up again and I honk 3 times.. We hit it and I pull 2+ like nothing and then I end up gettin on out there I'd say at least 3-4 cars and he let off.
Then we turn around and go again.. This time he wants to speed up so he can go into 2nd gear. So we do, but we were up to fast so I had to put my A4 into 2nd gear which sucks a fat one.. My rpms were at 2500 WHICH BLOWS and I knew he would have a good chance to pull on me at the beginning.. So I give the 3 honks and we're off. He jumps like a bumper ahead cause my car falls on its face then picks back up around 3500 and then CYA BITCH I was gone.. Put another 2-3+on him again and he shut down..
We got it all on video but haven't got it up on the net yet.. Its hard for me to really remember cause I couldnt see that well. The fastest I got to was probably 140 or so.. He said we never kicked at the right rpms for him blah blah blah it wouldnt go in gear and this that and the other.. He said he wants to go again sometime from a stop after I get my stall converter put in.. hehehe thats gonna be NASTY for him..

Very good kill on a S/C Mach1 running 10psi.. I bet his car is putting down about 450+rwhp... The only thing I can think of is if he is running the stock 3650 tranny it is most likely messed up.. I messed mine up N/A with only 310rwhp.. Those trannys are known to have problems but if it did then he shouldn't have ran you.. IMHO I think 4.30 gears is just too much for a S/C Mach.. I think he would have done better with the stock 3.55's in there.. So good job on the kill there..

He said it put down 435/500+tq on our local dyno.. The car definately needs a 3.73 gear and at most a 3.90 gear. I tried to tell him that last night but he wouldnt listen.. Oh well.. There isn't anything wrong with the trans. The guy driving said it twisted up and got in the rev limiter and wouldnt go in 2nd on the 1st try.. And thats a common thing that I have encountered myself with my old 6spd T/A and many other cars I've driven.. The tranny only messed up on the 1st run and he let off.. So, the other 2 runs where I killed his *** were all legit beat downs! lol
Even if he was puttin down 450rwhp I would have still beat him.. My car put down 420/506 on a 125 shot and last night I upped it to 150 and mixed in 3 gallons of 100 octane race gas to be sure I didn't get any detonation. I think I would have still easily beat him with just the 125 and 93 gas.. It was a very easy win..

Well, by going off the #'s that you provided, it obviously was not an "easy kill" 2 cars that close in power and weight, will not be easy for either car to kill the other. Sounds like the Mach driver couldnt drive for ****. Good kill though.

i have to disagree. this guy wanted to race you and you raced him and beat him three times. even if he screwed up two of those times you won the third with the same outcome in all three races.
run what you brung, if its not enough bring more next time, and winning a race by two-three car lengths in two equaly powered cars is a total beat down.
