can someone help me i bought an 02 ss an a z28 with an y pipe beat me, then i run it and it run 13.72 when i flored the car just go it dont even spin the tires and he wants to cut off can somebody help please i'm goin crazy i don't even want to race those Gt out there.

You have a 02SS and got beat by a Z28 with an exhaust? That sounds normal to me.
13.72 is a reasonable time for an SS...is it auto or manual? How bad did he beat you by?

If I were you and if you have received a high school diploma-there is a better way to beat your brother. I'd sue the high school you attended for malfeasance. You should easily get a million or two without even going to court. You can then use some of that money and buy a viper or lambo and them blow him easily away.

Be nice, guys. I don't think English is his first language. That said, isn't 13.7 a bit on the slow side for an SS? I thought low 13's are the norm for them.
Poor launching technique? Need new tires? Plugs? Tune? Better gas? Dirty air filter? Too excited and screwed up? There are plenty of reasons.

If you are a citizen of the USA, Id be more concerned with learning the language than a car. No offense but speaking & writing are pretty important.

Buys a hotrod...Needs help learning things we have been doing since about 20 seconds after we got our license.

13.7 is perfectly normal for a stock ls1, auto.
guys questioning his driving.... its a stock auto.... you see third amber, you hit the gas pedel you leave it on the floor till you trip the traps....
a z28 bone stock will run just as fast as a stock ss....
if he has mods and you dont , then thats why you are getting beat...
get a lid, get a cutout and get the win...

jeez give the guy a break already.
so yeah, those numbers are normal for a stock LS1. mod your car a bit and run him again, I am sure you'll be very happy with the results. check out the external engine part of this site for tips and tricks and help with parts you'll probably want, like a Lid, cat-back exhaust, and other stuff. Also feel free to ask questions, that's what this site is for.
